A-England Tristam/Saint George

Mais perfeição embalada em frascos de vidro e enrolhadas com um pincel. Desta feita vêm da A-England, uma marca inglesa de vernizes artesanais. Estes são o Tristam (azul) e o Saint George (verde). Comecei por aplicar o Tristam sozinho, mas achei que lhe faltava qualquer coisa. Não à beleza da cor, mas algo que lhe desse mais factor tchanã e que fizesse jus à sua originalidade, então agarrei numa esponja e esponjei nas pontas o Saint George de forma a fazer um gradiente. Adorei o resultado! Adoro o efeito de profundidade que o micro glitter destes vernizes dá às unhas. De notar que qualquer um deles aplicado sozinho ficam prontos com apenas 1 (!) camada!! 5*!

More bottled perfection. This time it comes from A-England, a british indie brand. These are Tristam (blue) and Saint George (green). I started by apllying Tristam all by itself, but something was missing... not on its beauty but it needed some wow factor to bring its originality up, so I grabed a sponge and apllied Saint George on the tips to make a gradient. I loved the final result! I love the depht effect that the micro glitters gives to the nails. To notice that any of these 2 applied on its own is ready to go with just 1 coat! 5*!!

Cirque Dark Horse / Essence Black is Back

Ontem recebi na caixa de correio 2 maravilhosos frasquinhos da marca Cirque e estes babes não mereciam ficar meses na fila de espera! Este que vos trago hoje é o Dark Horse, um verniz base transparente e micro glitter preto e holografico. Desta vez usei-o em degradê esponjado nas pontas sobre uma base preta, mas com 3 camadas ele é capaz de cobrir a unha sozinho! 

Usei de base o Essence Black is Back, que aconselho vivamente a quem procura uma base preta para glitters, multichromes ou outra coisa qualquer, ou mesmo para usar sozinho! É perfeito! Cobre com 2 camadas, tem um brilho espectacular e não faz sujeira absolutamente nenhuma nas cutículas.

Yesterday I got 2 perfect bottles from the brand Cirque and I just couldn't wait any longer to put one on my nails! This one is Dark Horse, a clear base black and holographic micro glitter. This time I used it sponged on the tips over a black base coat, but with 3 coats this one alone covers the nail perfectly.

I used Essence Black is Black as base coat for this mani and if you are looking for a black base coat for glitters or whatever this one is just perfect for this! Covers the nails with 2 coats, great shine and no mess on the cuticles!!

Mavala Delicious Collection

Vocês devem de me achar doida... ora coloco fotos com mini unhas, ora agora aparecem unhas mais compridas... Mas isto passa-se porque eu acumulo posts e mais posts em atraso, de momento tenho mais 10 para publicar, porque lá fotos tenho e muitas mas nunca sei o que escrever e lá ficam os pobres em fila de espera até a inspiração se me chegar.

Esta manicure já tem umas semanas, mas em tudo o que fiz até hoje nas unhas (que realmente não é muito porque basicamente me cinjo a vernizes e glitters) esta foi a minha preferida de todas e usei-a até o verniz começar a descascar...

Adoro esta colecção da Mavala, só não comprei o rosa porque simplesmente não em dou com rosas, mas todas as outras são verdadeiramente "delicious" como o nome da colecção indica! São todas fáceis de aplicar, 2 camadas de secagem rápida e as cores são fofas por demais. Usei o Frozen Berries (lilás), Pistachio (verde), Fresh Melon (laranja), Lemon Cream (amarelo) e o Blue Mint (azul) Por cima disto tudo, agarrei nas minhas dotting tools e toca de espetar com bolinhas brancas por cima e não é que adorei? Já tinha feito isto com uma base rosa em todas as unhas e detestei, tirei logo de seguida, nem fotografei (apenas mostrei à Ana, porque nós até os falhanços das unhas partilhamos :)) e com esta base tutti frutti adorei o resultado!

You must think I'm crazy... sometimes I post photos with mini nails, others with long nails... but this happens because I collect manis to post, at this point I have 10 more to post, only because I never know what to write! 

I wore this manicure some weeks ago, but it's my favourite in all I've done so far (that is not much, because, honestly, I restrain myself between polishes and glitters) and I wore it until the polish started to chip.

I love this Mavala collection, and only the pink stayed there on the shop because I'm not a big fan of pinks, but all the other colors are really "delicious" and the collection's name says! The are all very easy to apply, 2 quick drying coats and the colors are soooooo sweet... I used Frozen Berries (lilac), Pistachio (gree), Fresh Melon (orange), Lemon Cream (yellow) e o Blue Mint (blue). Above all that, I took my dotting tools and started to make white polka dots at all nails and I loved it! I already made this polka dots at all nails wearing a pink base coat but i removed it right after because I hated it (only Ana saw that, because we share all manis, even the less successfull ones) and with this tutti frutti base I loved the result!

Chanel Orange Fizz

Sem necessidade de grandes conversas, aqui fica o meu primeiro Chanel, o meu favorito, o Orange Fizz, pelo qual suspiro há tanto tempo! Aplicação perfeita em 2 camadas, secagem rápida e um brilho fantástico mesmo sem qualquer top coat! A tonalidade é fabulosa, um coral perfeito. A 1.ª foto foi feita com luz artificial, e a 2.ª com luz natural e ao sol ele é ainda mais perfeito! Nota-se muito que estou apaixonada? Na filha única usei o Revlon Gold Coin.

With no need for a big blablabla, here's my very first Chanel, my favourite, Orange Fizz, for which I've longed for a very long time! Perfect application, 2 coats, quick drying and a fabulous shine even without top coat! The shade is wonderful, a perfect coral. I took the 1st photo with artificial light, and the 2nd with natural light, and it gets even more perfect in the sunshine. I'm in love, does it shows? On the accent nail I used Revlon Gold Coin.

Quando abri a minha gaveta dos corais, reparei que tinha vários vernizes que poderiam ser dupes para o Chanel, mas na minha opinião, nenhum deles é tão perfeito como o Orange Fizz é.

Nos frascos todos eles parecem iguais, mas uma vez nas unhas, o Ana Hickmann Forró é demasiado rosa, o Cliché Salmão fosco (com acabamento mate no qual apliquei TC) tem mais laranja na composição e o Catrice Pimp My Shrimp é ligeiramente mais escuro e mais vibrante que o Orange Fizz. No entanto, se gostam destes tons e não querem gastar muito num Chanel, qualquer um deles serve para o caso!

When I opened the coral drawer of my helmer, I noticed that I had a lot of polishes that could be dupes for it, but in my opinion, neither one of them are as perfect as Orange Fizz is. 

On the bottles they all look the same, but once on the nail Ana Hickmann Forró is very pink for it, Cliché Salmão Fosco (which has a matte finish and I add a TC on it) has more orange in the composition and Catrice Pimp My Shrimp is a little bit darker and more vibrant than Orange Fizz. But if you like this kind of shade and don't want to spend a lot on a Chanel, any one of them could do the job.

Colorama Fantasia / Hits Golden Disco

Recebi estes 2 (para além de muitossssss outros) babes através de uma troca com a Roberta, e adorei ambos! O Fantasia é um azul marinho com uma pitada de azul petróleo à mistura e com um ligeiro shimmer prateado que o torna bem original! É de fácil aplicação, embora não tenha o pincel espatulado que eu tanto gosto, e seca relativamente rápido. Nas pontinhas decidi colocar o glitter da coleção MTV da Hits, o Golden Disco, que é um glitter super concentrado e que ficou com este especto apenas com uma passagem!

Como poderiam haver dúvidas em relação à sua parecença com o Hutsman da Essence, fiz uma foto comparativa (a ultima foto do post). Não são dupes, uma vez que o Huntsman é composto por glitter e hexagonal e crushed glitter apenas em dourado,  o Golden Disco é composto por glitter hexagonal de 2 tamanhos em que a base é dourada mas tem efeito holográfico.

I got these 2 babes (along with a lot of others) through a swap with Roberta and I loved both. Fantasia is a navy blue with a touch of teal and a light silver shimmer which makes it very original! Its application is very easy, even though it doesn’t have a flat brush as I like and dries pretty quickly. On the tips I decided to apply a glitter from Hits’ MTV collection, Golden Disco, which has a lot of glitter and gets perfect with 1 coat.

As there could be doubts whether this one is a dupe for Essence Hutsman or not, I made a comparison photo between the 2 of them and as you can see, they aren’t dupes. Hutsman is composed by golden hexagonal glitter and crushed glitter and Golden disco is composed by 2 sizes of holographic golden hexagonal glitter.

O meu novo estaminé/ My new nail working station

O meu local habitual para a pintura de unhas era no sofá, com o helmer ao lado, candeeiro em cima do helmer, light box em cima da mesa da sala de estar, acetona a pingar no tapete (e nas cadelas, e nos gatos…). O helmer estava permanentemente plantado no meio da sala e eu não gostava disso, mas também não gostava de andar com ele para trás e para a frente sempre que precisava dele, o que basicamente era todos os dias e então lá ia ficando e só ia arrumado para qualquer lado quando iam visitas lá a casa (para não passar a vergonha de me perguntarem o que era aquilo e eu ter que responder que lá dentro repousam 523 frascos de verniz, siga).

Resumindo e concluindo, durante esta semana tive um tio a passar uns dias connosco e ele é dado à bricolage, e aqui na fabrica onde trabalho havia uma secretária velha, toda estragada, cheia de caruncho e pronta para ir para o lixo, que ele se prontificou a restaurar de forma a eu poder coloca-la na minha sala e servir-me de local de trabalho das unhas. A ideia era não chocar muito com a decoração atual nem chamar muito a atenção dentro da própria sala. E penso que o objetivo foi cumprido! Deixando a conversa de lado e passando às imagens, vejam como estava a dita secretária antes, e como ficou depois, já na minha sala e com a minha tralha a ocupar o lugar!

My usual nail working station was on the living room, sitting on the sofa, with the helmer on my side, desk lamp on the helmer, light box on the living room table,  nail polish remover dropping on the carpet (and on my 3 cats and 2 dogs). The helmer was always standing in the middle of the living room and I didn’t like it, but I also didn’t like to carry it back and forwards every time I needed it, which was pretty much every single day and I only stowed it whenever I had someone visiting me (only not to have the embarrassment to explain someone that inside of that are resting 523 polish bottles).

Long story short, last week I had my uncle spending some time with us and he’s very handy, and here where I work we found a very old, and very damaged desk ready to be sent to the dump store, and he offered to restore it so that I could put it on my living room and use it as a nail working station. The idea was to make it match the decor and also not to draw much attention to itself. I think the goal was achieved. Leaving the blablabla aside, just take a look at the before and the after!

Catrice Steel my soul

De regresso a este local de vicio, volto em grande, pelo menos para mim, com uma novidade da Catrice. Quando li na tampa "Brushed Metal Effect" aqui a loira pensou que que tratava de um efeito metalizado com os típicos riscos e não percebi muito a ideia de se vangloriarem disso na tampa, mas ok... Por insistência da minha mummy lá trouxe este e o outro que tem o mesmo efeito e quando o coloquei na unha...  Pára tudo!!!

Brushed Metal Effect é um efeito de aço escovado gente! Uma coisa do outro mundo! É mate, mas não completamente e rugoso, rugosidade essa na qual sobressai o glass fleck que faz parte da composição do bicho! É assim uma coisa de cair de costas! Acreditem!

Este babe tem uma cor entre o lilás e o cinzento, um tom super original, impregnado de glass fleck multicolor, mas do qual sobressai o dourado. É de aplicação super tranquila, sem sujeira, seca rapidíssimo como mate que é e para quem gosta do efeito mate não necessita de top coat.

Back on track, here I am with a big new from Catrice! When I read "Brushed Metal Effect" on the cap, this dumb blond thought it meant the tipical metallic brush strokes and I didn't understood the idea of making a big deal of that, but whatever.... I brought this one (and the other with similar effect) with me after my mom insisted a lot and when I put it on my nails... STOP EVERYTHING! 

People, brushed metal effect really means what it says! It's like brushed stainless steel! Something otherworldly! It's matte, but not completely, and lumpy where the glass fleck comes out! It's something else, believe me!

This babe's color is somewhere between lilac and grey, a super original shade infused with multi color (but mostly golden) glass fleck. Its application is super easy with the flat and round tip brush and dries super easy as it is a matte polish. If you like the matte effect, it dosn't need top coat at all.

Hits Salsa

Mais um dupe perfeito para um Deborah Lippmann! Desta feita é da Hits, que pelo que me tenho apercebido, tem vindo a fazer alguns dupes para os DLs. Basta passar os olhos pelas colecções de glitter MTV e Mari Moon!

Desta vez o copiado é o DL Sweet Dreams, que é um rosa jelly cheio de flocos alaranjados. O Hits é exactamente igual, tanto quanto me parece pelas fotos que vejo do Sweet Dreams na net e como podem comprovar pela ultima foto. A foto para a comparação foi retirada do blogue //www.the-crumpet.com/. Foram 3 camadas do Hits, de aplicação fácil e secagem rápida. Para mim necessitou de top coat pois a superfície não fica regular e gosto de sentir as unhas bem lisas!

Another Deborah Lippmann perfect dupe! This time is from Hits, which for what I've been watching, has been making several DL dupes recently! Just look at the recent glitter collections MTV and Mari Moon!

This time the copied one is DL Sweet Dreams which is a jelly pink base with lots of orange flakies. The Hits one is exactly the same as far as I can judge from the photos that I see on the web and as you can see on the last photo. I took the comparison photo from the blog http://www.the-crumpet.com/. It took me 3 easy applying and quick drying coats to get perfect! For me it needed a top coat because it gets a little lumpy!

Sinful Colors Cinderella

Flakies, flakies, flakies! Dêem-me flakies numa base de cor e eu morro de amores por ele! Corri atrás deste infeliz carradas de tempo, babei em cima de blogues gringos e quando finalmente lhe consegui deitar a mão através de uma troca nunca imaginei eu que seria tal pesadelo para aplicar! Já fiz várias tentativas de o usar, mas este bebé é daqueles que mesmo com 4 camadas deixa a linha branca da unha à mostra, e por isso tem lá andado encostado a um canto.

Finalmente arranjei uma base da Essence que tinha exactamente a mesma cor da base deste e experimentei! E fez-se luz! Foi uma camada do dito Essence e 2 camadas do Sinful Colors Cinderella. Mas os Sinful têm outro grande defeito: a secagem! Demora horrores, mas a coisa resolve-se com um top coat de secagem rápida! De resto é a beleza que se pode apreciar! Adorei usa-lo e os flakies meio bronze, meio rosados matam-me de coração!

Flakies, flakies, flakies! Give me flakies on a jelly base and I'll die for it! I ran after this one for ages, I drooled over lots and lots of photos of it and when I finally got my hands on it, I could never imagine what a nightmare its application would be! I've tried to wear it countless times, but this one takes more than 4 coats to cover the white tip of the nail and because of that, it has been stored since it has arrived.

Finally I found out a base coat with the exact same shade of this one's base and I tried to wear them together! And it worked! One coat of the blue base coat and 2 coats of Sinful Cinderella and it got perfect! But Sinful Colors has another big flaw for me: the drying! Their polishes, al leats the ones that I own, take ages to dry but it's something easily solved with a quick dry top coat. Nevertheless its beauty is perfect! I loved wearing it and its flakies, somewhere between bronze and pink, just made me have a stroke!

Essence Gorgeous Bling Bling

E cá está finalmente um dos novos Essence Colour & Go, esta é uma das cores novas, um laranja cor de tijolo, com glass fleck dourado incorporado na formula. Estes novos frascos, além de terem uma maior capacidade, são de 8 ml, trazem também um pincel novo que para mim é perfeito! É grosso, espatulado e de ponta redonda que a mim me permite uma aplicação sem qualquer falha e sem necessidade de limpezas no fim! Foram 2 camadas, em  que dei a 2ª camada apenas por perfeccionismo, porque apenas uma bastava e a secagem é ultra rápida! Confesso que não morri de amores pela cor, faz-me lembrar cor de senhora idosa. Acabei por colocar um top coat mate, como se pode ver na ultima foto e foi a maneira como mais gostei de o ver em mim.

Finally here's one of the new Essence Colour & Go! This is one of the new colors, a brick orange, with golden glass fleck in the formula. These new bottles, besides having more polish, 8 ml, they also come with a new brush which is perfect for me! It's thick, flat and with a round tip which allows me a flawless application with no need for cleanings in the end! It took me 2 coats only because of my perfeccionism, because 1 was enought to make it perfect and its drying is super quick! I confess that I don't die for this kind of colors, it reminds me of an old lady color, but I applied a matte top coat over it as you can see on the last photo and I liked it better this way!
